Hello! My name is Kristina Key (maiden name Szabo). My journey into the art field began back in 1986 when I studied commercial art in high school. That training opened the door to my first job in the graphic design industry right after graduation.

About ten years ago, I returned to school to learn web design. Once I had taken all the available web courses, I expanded into photography—a lifelong hobby and passion. Currently, I am finishing my Master’s in Career and Technical Education (Administration) at Ball State University, with graduation planned for December 2025.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, and reading. My husband and I are avid motorcycle riders, active in several clubs, and often participate in charity rides and events. I have two grown sons—Michael, a proud Ball State graduate (Chirp Chirp!), and Josh, who is working hard to discover his own path.

Professionally, I am a creative and detail-oriented graphic designer with over 30 years of experience in visual communications, advertising design, screen printing, apparel layout, and production art. I am skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (Mac and PC based) and have a strong track record of managing high-volume, fast-turn projects without compromising quality.

As an experienced visual design educator, I specialize in integrating technology into the classroom, mentoring award-winning student designers, and developing curriculum that prepares students for professional success. I excel at collaborating with teams and clients to produce clear, on-brand visuals for print, digital, and promotional use.

Graphic design has always been more than a career for me—it’s my lifelong passion.
